The CellPipe 50S is an ATM-over-SDSL router/bridge that utilizes existing single pair copper wiring to transmit and receive data at speeds up to 2.3 Mbps. It accelerates applications such as Internet and intranet access, Web-based research, videoconferencing, voice-over-IP, e-commerce, multi-media, Web hosting, and more. Based on the award-winning Pipeline technology, this full-featured, cell-based router delivers all of the features and functionality necessary for making high-quality, high-speed, and high-bandwidth remote network connections. The CellPipe 50S also accommodates up to 21,000 feet of twisted pair wiring between itself and xDSL central office equipment, such as the Lucent Stinger DSL access concentrator. This is a full 10,000 feet more than conventional SDSL supports, allowing ISPs and carriers to reach more customers.
